Project Overview

The City of Colorado Springs, Colo. in partnership with other agencies, built a state-of-the-art visitor center at Pikes Peak, a 14,115-foot summit in the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Based fifteen miles west of Colorado Springs, the summit is accessible via highway or railway and attracts nearly one million visitors each year.

The new Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center features a collection of interpretive exhibits for creating an educational experience about the mountain and summit. The main attraction consists of interactive display technologies from Planar to engage visitors. The installations include a nearly 28-foot-long, 2.5-foot-high Clarity® Matrix® MultiTouch LCD Video Wall System and a Planar® UltraRes™ X Series 75-inch 4K LCD display.

Location:

  • Pikes Peak, Colorado, United States
